Thigh lift

SHORT ANSWER

A thigh lift removes loose skin and sometimes fat from the thighs to improve their contour. It is most often considered after major weight loss, when skin has lost its elasticity. It leaves scars that are planned to be as discreet as possible.

Who is a thigh lift for?

It is mainly for people with loose, hanging skin on the inner or outer thighs, often after significant weight loss. It does not treat cellulite and is not a weight-loss procedure.

How is it done?

An inner thigh lift usually places incisions in the groin crease and may extend down the inner thigh. An outer thigh lift is often part of a wider body lift. Liposuction may be added.

What is recovery like?

Swelling and bruising are expected. Compression garments are commonly advised, and walking is encouraged while strenuous activity and stretching are limited. Swelling can take months to settle fully.

Riskler nelerdir?

Risks include wound healing problems, fluid collection, widened scars, changes in sensation, asymmetry and blood clots.

Thigh lift in Turkey and Istanbul

A thigh lift is often discussed as part of body contouring after weight loss in Turkey, including Istanbul. A stable weight beforehand helps the result.

Questions worth asking before a thigh lift in Istanbul or elsewhere in Turkey:

  • Where will the scars be and how long will they take to mature?
  • Is the operation combined with other procedures, and how long will I be in surgery?
  • How long should I stay in Istanbul before flying home?
  • What compression and activity limits apply?

When to consult a doctor

Seek advice promptly for a wound that is opening, spreading redness, fever, leg swelling or pain on one side, or sudden breathlessness.
