What Is a 360 Body Lift?
A 360 body lift, also called a circumferential body lift, is a surgical procedure designed to address excess skin around the lower torso. It treats the abdomen, flanks and lower back as connected areas, rather than focusing only on the front of the body. It is often considered after significant weight loss, when loose skin remains despite reaching a stable weight
The procedure removes excess skin and repositions the remaining tissues to improve the contour of the lower body. The extent of surgery depends on your skin laxity, anatomy and goals. A 360 body lift is not a weight-loss treatment, and it involves permanent scars that should be discussed during your consultation.
Who Is a Suitable Candidate for a 360 Body Lift?
A 360 body lift may be suitable if you have excess skin around your abdomen, sides and lower back, particularly after significant weight loss. Your weight should be stable, and you should have realistic expectations about the results, recovery and permanent scars.
Suitability also depends on your overall health, nutritional status and smoking or nicotine use. During your consultation, your surgeon will review your medical history, medications and previous operations to assess your individual risks and discuss any preparation needed before surgery.
If you are still losing weight or planning a pregnancy, your surgeon may recommend postponing treatment. The assessment will also help determine whether a full circumferential body lift or a more limited procedure would better address your concerns.

360 Body Lift, Tummy Tuck or Liposuction?
The right procedure depends on whether your main concern is excess skin, localised fat or a combination of both, and which areas are affected.
360 body lift: Addresses excess skin around the abdomen, flanks and lower back. It may be considered when skin laxity extends around the lower torso rather than being limited to the front.
Tummy tuck: Focuses on excess abdominal skin and may also include tightening the abdominal wall where appropriate. It does not address the lower back in the same way as a circumferential body lift.
Liposuction: Removes localised fat deposits to improve contour. It does not remove excess skin and may not be sufficient when significant skin laxity is present.
Your surgeon will assess your skin quality, fat distribution and goals before recommending an approach. For a closer look at abdominal contouring options, read our guide to tummy tuck vs liposuction.

How Is a 360 Body Lift Performed in Turkey?
Ameliyat Öncesi Konsültasyon
Before your 360 body lift in Turkey, your surgeon will assess your excess skin, review your medical history and discuss your goals. You will go through the proposed surgical plan, scar placement, potential risks and expected recovery. Your surgical team will also explain any tests and preparation needed before surgery.
You can also book a free consultation in London to discuss your goals and treatment options before travelling to Turkey.
Ameliyat Günü
The operation is performed under general anaesthesia. Your surgeon removes excess skin and fat around the lower torso and repositions the remaining tissues according to your agreed surgical plan. The incision extends around the body, with its exact position discussed beforehand. Liposuction may be included where appropriate, but the combination and extent of treatment depend on your individual assessment.

360 Body Lift Recovery and Aftercare
Recovery happens in stages. Returning to everyday activities and seeing your final contour are different milestones.
Initial Recovery
Your surgical team will guide you on wound care, prescribed medication and gentle movement during your initial recovery. Depending on your surgical plan, you may also need a compression garment and temporary drains.
Returning to Work
You may need around three weeks away from work, depending on your recovery and the extent of surgery. Physically demanding jobs may require a longer break. Your surgeon will advise you on when to return.
Exercise and Travel
Gentle movement and strenuous exercise are different stages of recovery. Follow your surgeon’s advice on increasing activity, lifting and returning to exercise. Before travelling home, your surgeon will assess whether you are fit to fly.
Swelling and Final Contour
Residual swelling may take several months to settle, and your final contour may continue to develop over six months or longer. This does not mean you will be unable to carry out everyday activities throughout that time.
360 Body Lift FAQs
Değişiminiz basit bir sohbetle başlar.
No. A tummy tuck focuses on the abdomen, while a 360 body lift addresses excess skin around the abdomen, flanks and lower back. A 360 body lift may be considered when loose skin extends around the torso, particularly after significant weight loss. Your surgeon will assess which approach is appropriate for the areas you want to address.
A 360 body lift removes excess skin and reshapes the lower torso, while Lipo 360 uses liposuction to remove fat from areas around the midsection. Liposuction alone does not remove loose skin, so the procedures are not interchangeable. If you have both excess skin and localised fat, your surgeon may consider combining techniques, depending on your assessment and the extent of surgery.
A 360 body lift may be an option after significant weight loss if you have excess skin around your lower torso. Your weight should be stable before surgery, and your surgeon will assess your general health, nutritional status and any previous weight-loss surgery. If you are still losing weight, you may be advised to wait before proceeding.
A 360 body lift leaves a scar that extends around the lower torso. Its exact position depends on your anatomy and surgical plan, and your surgeon will discuss this with you before surgery. Scars usually become less noticeable as they mature, but they are permanent. How easily clothing covers them will depend on their placement and the clothing you wear.
You will need to follow your surgical team’s instructions on wound care, prescribed medication, compression garments and activity. Before leaving Turkey, confirm your follow-up arrangements, who to contact with concerns and how any complications would be managed after you return home. Seek prompt medical assessment if you develop symptoms that concern you rather than waiting for a routine review.
The cost depends on the extent of surgery and your individual treatment plan. Request a written quote specifying whether it includes the surgeon’s fee, anaesthesia, hospital stay, pre-operative tests, garments and follow-up care. Accommodation and transfers should also be clearly listed if included. Ask how additional hospital nights or treatment for complications would be charged.
